Acacia Fibers 83% fiber - 220 grams
What are Acacia fibers?
Acacia fibers come from Acacia trees, which are originally found in Africa. The sap that comes from these trees is dried, forming a fiber powder. Acacia fiber contains 86% soluble fiber, which is also called digestible fiber or prebiotic.
Dietary fiber
Dietary fibers mainly come from the cell wall of plants and we get them when we eat vegetables, fruit, bread, breakfast cereals, legumes and nuts.
Our modern diet, unlike the 'traditional' diet, contains little fiber. If you consume too little dietary fiber, gastrointestinal complaints can occur. The most common complaints are constipation, diarrhea and a spastic colon. The advice is to eat 30 to 40 grams of fiber daily.
Mattisson Acacia fibers
Mattisson Acacia fiber provides 10 grams of soluble fiber per 2 tablespoon portion and has a mild, neutral taste. This makes our Acacia fibers easy to process in various food products. For example, the fine powder of acacia fibers can be mixed with smoothies, juices, yogurt or breakfast cereals. The Acacia fibers can also be sprinkled dry over oatmeal and salad.
Renewed and improved
These fibers are easier to use than our old Acacia fibers, as they dissolve better.
