Vegan Sunfiber® - Prebiotic fibers - 125 grams
What is Sunfiber®?
Mattisson organic Guar bean fibers Sunfiber® come from the germ white of the guar plant from India. The Latin name of the guar plant is Cyamopsis tetragonoloba. Guar beans are a rich source of soluble fiber. Soluble fibers are also called Prebiotics. Prebiotics end up undigested in the large intestine, where they are broken down by bacteria through fermentation into short-chain fatty acids (acetate, butyrate and propionate). These fatty acids serve as an energy source for, among other things, the intestinal epithelium. Fermentable fibers include fibers from vegetables, fruit, potatoes and legumes.
What are the benefits of Sunfiber®?
An advantage of Sunfiber® compared to other prebiotic fibers such as inulin is that these fibers are made extremely water soluble. They are already pre-fermented in the factory, so they completely dissolve in water and can easily be fermented by the intestinal flora. The more soluble a fiber is: the easier it is fermented by our intestinal flora. It is also important that this fermentation does not proceed too quickly, as this could cause discomfort and gas formation. This hardly occurs with Sunfiber®.
