What is Ghee?
Ghee is prepared according to a traditional Indian method in which butter is heated until all moisture evaporates and the milk sugars solidify. The pure butterfat that remains can be heated much higher without releasing harmful substances than normal butter. Ghee contains the essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-9 and contains vitamins A, D, E and K.
How do you use ghee?
Ghee has a combustion point of 250°C and is therefore ideal for baking. Ghee contains no proteins and is therefore ideal for people who are lactose intolerant but want to bake in a product that resembles butter. Ghee can also be used for external care due to its nourishing and moisturizing properties.

This ghee is made from real Dutch butter from grass-fed, organic cows. In contrast to the traditional ghee from India, Mattisson Ghee is wonderfully neutral with a mild taste.
