Oregano Oil contains the concentrated essential oil of Origanum vulgare in a base of rice oil and olive oil.
This oil is rich in carvacrol , a substance with broad antimicrobial activity. It also contains small, non-standardized amounts of thymol and rosmarinic acid .
Carvacrol destabilizes the cell wall of certain bacteria, including Streptococcus and Staphylococcus , causing vital substances such as ATP to leak out of the bacteria, ultimately destroying them.
Each capsule contains 100 mg of oregano oil .
