Vitakruid Ester C® 1000 mg (90 pcs.)
Ester C® 1000 mg from Vitakruid - Vitamin preparation
Vitakruid Ester C 1000 mg
The deacidified form of vitamin C
Ascorbic acid is by far the best-known form of vitamin C. It is therefore the variant that occurs naturally in our diet. Oranges, broccoli and apples; We all classify the vitamin C in these foods as ascorbic acid.
Calcium ascorbate bound to threonic acid
Nevertheless, this is a form that we classify as acidic, so supplementation in high doses can result in stomach and intestinal discomfort. If you have a high vitamin C requirement, Ester C 1000 is a better option. Ester C is calcium ascorbate bound to threonic acid; deacidified and therefore extremely friendly to the stomach and intestines!
Ester-C® is a patented form
Patented means that other developers are not allowed to simply develop a calcium ascorbate bound to threonic acid. The binding to threonic acid has added value within this compound, because it is a so-called vitamin C metabolite. Our body naturally converts vitamin C into metabolites, but a large part of the resistance vitamin is lost during this process. By binding the calcium ascorbate to a matabolite, our system absorbs the vitamin C directly, without having to go through waste processes. Threonic acid also has the ability to mobilize vitamin C from body stores, giving Ester-C a twofold advantage over other ascorbates!
Citrus bioflavonoids for better vitamin C absorption
Bioflavonoids are plant nutrients also known as vitamin P. Citrus bioflavonoids are found, among other things, in the soft white part under the peel of the citrus fruit. Unfortunately, 70 to 90 percent of vitamin P disappears from our diet during cooking. Supplementation via supplementation is therefore far from an unnecessary luxury.
Research also shows that vitamin P ensures a 35 percent better absorption of vitamin C. Citrus bioflavonoids also ensure a slower absorption of ascorbic acid and reduced excretion through the urine. Better absorption and higher bioavailability were the pillars of adding vitamin P to the Ester-C supplement!
Rosehip extract
Rosehip is the fruit of our well-known love flower: the rose. Rosehip itself already contains vitamin C, for this extract this amounts to no less than 45 percent.
