Tricolin Basic
Product information
What is Tricolin Basic?
Psyllium powder from Bio Kult, marketed under the name Tricolin Basic, is a gluten-free fiber formula in powder form. This psyllium powder combines soluble psyllium fibers from Plantago ovata with the prebiotic fiber inulin and five carefully selected probiotic strains. The powder is intended to be mixed with water or fruit juice and serves as a supplement when daily fiber intake through diet is insufficient. The European guideline for fiber intake is around 25 grams per day, an amount many people do not achieve through diet alone. This fiber supplement is suitable for daily use and is taken mixed with liquid.
Per 5-gram serving, the formula contains 3.5 g psyllium fibers, 1.5 g inulin, and 1 billion (1 × 10⁹) probiotic cultures. The five probiotic strains are Lactobacillus rhamnosus CCM 5217, Bifidobacterium bifidum CCM 5215, Lactobacillus acidophilus CCM 5212, Lactobacillus plantarum CCM 5209, and Lactobacillus bulgaricus CCM 6833. Psyllium fibers have the property of retaining moisture and are milder than many other fiber sources, such as wheat bran.
