Most absorbable form of chromium picolinate
Chromium picolinate is the bioavailable and organically bound form of chromium. Compared to, for example, chromium chloride, of which our body absorbs a maximum of 0.4 percent, we absorb up to 5.2 percent of the picolate molecular compound. For comparison, at a dosage of 200 mcg, our body retains only 0.8 mg of elemental chromium from the chloride compound. With the same dose of chromium picolinate, our body absorbs no less than 10.4 mg of elemental chromium. This may seem like a small difference, but it means thirteen times better absorption!
