Terranova's fermented mushrooms are produced using a unique technology (known as submerged cultivation) where the mycelium is grown on a sterile liquid substrate. The substrate is specifically chosen based on each mushroom species. A major advantage of this production method is that the growth medium can be easily separated from the mycelium by filtration. This process preserves not only the mycelium but also all the extracellular beta-glucans which are water soluble and very easily absorbed.
