By offering these vitamin D3 drops in liquid form, the dosage is easy to determine yourself. With the added pipette you determine the amount of vitamin D3 yourself, without wasting drops. This means you can meet everyone's vitamin D needs.

Suitable for the entire family, all year round
The ease of dosing of the Vegan Vitamin D3 drops makes it suitable for all family members. This way you can easily measure and administer the recommended dosage of 2 drops for your children on a spoon with the pipette. If your vitamin D balance is sufficient, we recommend a dosage of 5 drops for adults. Vitamin D levels that are too low often occur in seniors, workers who rarely spend time outside, or people with a tan skin color. For this target group, 10 drops is the recommended dosage.

Vitamin D is in fact a hormone that our body produces itself. Our skin produces the sunshine vitamin by absorbing the sun's UV rays and producing vitamin D. Unfortunately, due to the climate in the Benelux, this only happens in the warm summer and spring months. It is also difficult to supplement the poor household balance with only vitamin D-rich food.

Vegan due to lichen, 100% vegetable
Wool fat is the main raw material for the production of vitamin D. The development often takes place by exposing the fat from sheep's wool (lanolin) to UV light. Due to the use of animal wool, we do not consider vitamin D formed from wool fat as vegan.

That is why Vitakruid has developed Vegan Vitamin D3 drops. This product is made from short moss and is therefore 100 percent vegetable. This takes into account good absorption of vitamin D3, but 100 percent plant-based!

The best form of vitamin D is D3
We long thought that vitamin D2 (ergocalciterol) and D3 (cholecalciferol) were similar forms. However, this is not the case. Vitamin D2 is formed from mushrooms and is therefore plant-based. Unfortunately, vitamin D2 is 66 percent less effective than vitamin D3. That is why Vitakruid chooses vitamin D3 from lichen. Lichen produces vitamin D in a similar way to humans, based on UV radiation (sunlight). The vitamin D3 from lichen is even exactly the same as the vitamin D that our body produces. This also makes it immediately available to our system.
