What is Lutein & Zeaxanthin?
Lutein & Zeaxanthin from Bonusan is a plant-based food supplement in capsule form, containing a standardised extract of marigold (Tagetes erecta). These capsules contain the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, naturally present in dark green leafy vegetables, among other things. The supplement uses the patented Lutemax® 2020 extract and offers a fixed ratio of these substances as they naturally occur in food. Thanks to the plant-based capsule, this product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Each capsule contains an extract of Tagetes erecta flores (Lutemax® 2020), standardised to a minimum of 10% lutein and a minimum of 2% zeaxanthin. Due to standardisation, the composition per capsule is consistent. The capsule shell consists of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and the formula contains no unnecessary additives.
