Golden Naturals Cranberry & D-mannose is a combination of cranberry extract, D-mannose, vitamin C and various useful herbal extracts such as bearberry, nettle and goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea). Vitamin C is a well-known antioxidant with a positive influence on the immune system. This product contains no less than 750 mg cranberry extract per daily dose (3 tablets). The cranberry extract in these cranberry tablets is more concentrated than, for example, cranberry juice. The good properties of this powerful berry were already known to the Indians. In the Netherlands we mainly find the cranberry on Terschelling and Vlieland. It is a common ingredient in European cuisine, but in the last 20 years cranberry has been increasingly used in health products. The bearberry has been known since the mid-eighteenth century for its beneficial influence.
D-mannose: what is that?
D-mannose is a natural nutrient that occurs in small amounts in various plants and fruits such as peaches, pineapple, oranges, apples and berries such as cranberries and blueberries. In addition, D-mannose occurs in small amounts in the human body as part of a chain of eight essential sugars. 'Essential' means: our body can only produce the sugars itself in small quantities, but they are of fundamental importance. D-mannose in supplements can therefore be a good addition.
