Tocotrienols and tocopherols together make up the vitamin E family , each with four subforms.
While research used to focus mainly on tocopherols , tocotrienols have been of increasing scientific interest in recent years.
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative damage , by helping to neutralise free radicals and thus providing protection against external influences.
