Phosphatidyl Choline
What is Phosphatidylcholine?
Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid that is an essential component of the cell membranes of all our cells. It is also part of lecithin, a fatty substance that is present in every cell of the body. Phosphatidylcholine can be produced in the body from choline, but can also be obtained through food.
Phosphatidylcholine in food:
Dietary sources of phosphatidylcholine include eggs, red meat, and fish. For the body's own production of phosphatidylcholine, the body needs sufficient choline, which can be found in products such as meat, fish, dairy, legumes, and green leafy vegetables.
