Teasel tincture
Product Information
What is Teasel tincture?
Vitakruid Teasel tincture is a liquid plant extract based on the root of the teasel (Dipsacus silvestris). These teasel drops are supplied in tincture form, where the extract is dissolved in a liquid of water and alcohol. The purple-colored, prickly plant is known for its composition of iridoids, saponins, potassium salts, and bitter compounds. While many suppliers use a dilution of one in five or one in ten, this is a highly concentrated variant. Each bottle of this tincture contains no less than 50 percent active ingredients, which distinguishes this product within the range of teasel extracts.
For this tincture, only organic root extract is used, obtained from the root of the teasel. The roots come from the first growing season, when the content of iridoids and bitter compounds is highest. After harvesting, the roots are cleaned, air-dried, and ground, after which the concentrated extract is obtained. The extraction takes place according to the HAB process.
