What is Optic Plus 2?
Optic Plus 2 by Biotics Research is a dietary supplement in capsule form containing a combination of vitamins, minerals, and plant extracts. This supplement includes, among other things, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, zinc, selenium, copper, and B vitamins, supplemented with lutein and zeaxanthin from marigold (Calendula officinalis), bilberry extract (Vaccinium myrtillus), and a pea mixture (Pisum sativum). The capsules are developed as a broadly composed formula with both nutrients and plant-based ingredients. Optic Plus 2 capsules are supplied in a package of 60 capsules and are intended for daily intake according to the recommended dosage.
Per capsule, the formula contains, among other things, 60 mg of vitamin C, 7.5 mg of zinc, 10 mg of vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate emulsion: actiVmulsion®), and 345.5 mcg RE of vitamin A from retinyl acetate, beta-carotene, and mixed carotenoids. Additionally, 5 mg of lutein, 1.25 mg of zeaxanthin, and 20 mg of bilberry extract (25% anthocyanidins) have been added. The pea mixture comes from actiVbase® (organic plant culture with naturally occurring polyphenols, SOD, and catalase), and the capsule consists of bovine gelatin.
