Vitakruid L-Lysine 1000 mg (100 pcs.)
Vitakruid L-Lysine 1000 mg
L-Lysine is an essential amino acid and precursor of l-carnitine
We classify L-Lysine among the so-called essential amino acids, which means that our body is unable to produce this substance from other amino acids. We are therefore completely dependent on dietary intake for adequate l-lysine levels. This can be a problem especially for vegetarians and vegans. The essential amino acid is mainly found in animal proteins; meat and dairy are the main sources. So if you follow a lifestyle with little to no animal products, supplementation with l-lysine can be of added value to your diet!
In addition, l-lysine is the direct precursor of the semi-essential amino acid l-carnitine, which means that our body can only partially produce the nutrient from food. L-carnitine is also mainly found in animal products, making meat and dairy abstainers once again susceptible to inadequate levels.
Highly bioavailable form of l-lysine
As the name suggests, we exclusively use the l-structural form of lysine for L-Lysine 1000. From a biochemical perspective, the multifunctional amino acid has two forms, the l-structure form and the d-structure form. The body only recognizes the l-structure shape (left-handed shape) as natural. The mirrored shape, the d-shape, does not occur in living material and is therefore referred to as synthetic. The l-structure form guarantees that our l-lysine is one hundred percent natural and also has the highest bioavailability.
A high dosage of 1000 mg per tablet
In addition to the quality of the nutrient, the dosage is of course also important. A higher dosage simply provides more active substances and therefore a greater effect. Most l-lysine supplements contain between 250 and 500 mg per tablet. Research shows that these doses are too low for a sufficient effect. That is why our L-Lysine 1000 contains no less than 500 mg extract per capsule and we recommend taking up to two capsules per day; a substantiated dosage!
Addition of vitamin C
However, an insurmountable problem with this nutrient is that we are unable to produce the vitamin ourselves. As a result, we are completely dependent on our diet for adequate vitamin C levels. Taking a good supplement can then be a welcome addition. In addition, vitamin C ensures better absorption of l-lysine.
User-friendly due to tablet form
We also offer you L-Lysine 1000 mg in tablet form. Most people see supplementation in tablet form as user-friendly; fiddling with water, stirring and mixing is not an option. So if you prefer supplementation in tablet form, L-Lysine 1000 is an excellent choice!
